Aggie was diagnosed with non-effusive Feline Infectious Peritonitis (Dry FIP) in May 2019, just after she turned one year old. Until recently FIP carried a death sentence.

As of August 23rd 2019 Aggie is considered cured of FIP!

Although I have researched many infectious diseases of cats, FIP remains my first love, if you can use this term to apply to a disease that is still both common and almost universally fatal. I have come to look at FIP as the “worthy adversary.”

how we met!

Not long after I lost Ronin to bladder cancer in June 2018 I started volunteering with Lancaster Four Dog Rescue (yes, we do kittens and cats too!) helping out with the kittens we had at a couple local PetSmart’s. While on-site helping one day I happened to look up at a kitten that was in a crate to go to the vet and I saw this little beauty sticking her paw out at me through the door. It was love at first sight. And then I saw the ear hair!
