I got Aggie’s bloodwork back from the vet today and everything looks good, if not better than ever! I was a little worried after October’s results because her numbers had declined, very slightly, and I was afraid it meant things were going to trend that way, but Miss Aggie proved me wrong! Her A:G ratio is the highest it’s ever been at 0.58. She is full of energy and holding steady at right about 9.2 lbs (the vet even said she might be a tad overweight now, LOL!)
I can’t believe the craziness of the last 6 months dealing with this. It seems like so long ago that I called up my mom crying my eyes out about Aggie’s diagnosis and that there was a possible treatment but the total cost seemed so out of reach. Luckily I decided to take a chance and get a couple bottles for GS-441524 from another member of FIP Warriors and saw the results within a day and decided to make the treatment happen. A very big thank you goes out to my friends and family for supporting me through this.
Since I have learned soooo much about FIP, I am working on starting new website called TreatFIP.org (I will hopefully be making it a non-profit at some point) where people can provide the data they have on their cats from treatment so that we can provide that info to the rest of the world in a unified format. I am hoping to get the first phase of the site launched by the end of the year so we can start gathering data. We then have other info we want to get out there on FIP in general, treatment options, and info for skeptical vets. Please signup at TreatFIP.org to be notified when we launch the site.
