Days #9 – 13 – Getting better every day!

Days #9 – 13 – Getting better every day!
June 15, 2019

This whole blogging every day thing has been something I have always been terrible at, since the invention of the “blog”. But I guess that old adage “no news, is good news” applies here. Aggie has been improving steadily every day, with yesterday being the most improvement yet!

One big hurdle we are facing is, now that Aggie is feeling better she is not happy about getting her daily shots. She has started flinching and pulling away from me when I try and stick her, which causing the needle to get wonky in her. Yesterday I got about 1/2 her dose in her before she had had enough, so I decided to give her a small amount of gabepentin that I had. That seemed to help a bit when I did the last of the injection, but that is also when she started showing more improvement (i.e. playing!) so I am thinking she is in some pain from the injections in general and I am looking into CBD oil options for her. For today’s injection (Day #13) I gave her a little bit more gabepentin and will wait at least an hour before I try to inject her. I am hoping it will go smoothly.

On the donation front we are at $465! I want to thank everyone who has donated so far, it is so greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Here are some fun videos from Day #12 of Aggie playing!
